Kelly is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and holds a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health, with a concentration in Nutrition. She believes in the human body’s innate ability to heal itself and thrive when it is supported nutritionally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Kelly uses the basics of wellness - adequate rest, whole foods, reduced stress, movement and mindset - to help her clients move forward on their wellness journey.
Kelly is trained in active listening, motivational interviewing, and behavior modification through her studies and experiences as a coach. She has particular interest in the abilities of the mind to foster healing within the body. She is a huge advocate for mindfulness, meditation and positive thinking as part of everyone’s healing journey. Kelly also has experience with elimination diets - Whole30 and Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) - to help clients understand how the food they eat affects their bodies, as well as their emotional and mental states.
Kelly lives in Manassas, Virginia with her husband and two children. In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, preferably in nature. Hiking, ATV/UTV-ing, exploring West Virginia (where they have a weekend home), photography, yoga and reading are some of her favorite things to do.
