Bach Flower Therapy

Dr. Bach defined seven main moods, which prevent us from being our true selves and thereby, contribute to disease and suffering in an individual.  These moods include:  Fear, Uncertainty, Insufficient Interest in Present Circumstances, Loneliness, Over-Sensitivity to Influences and Ideas, Despondency or Despair, and Over-care for the Welfare of Others.  Dr. Bach also defines the seven beautiful stages in the healing of disease:   Peace, Hope, Joy, Faith, Certainty, Wisdom, and Love.  Treatment with the Bach Flower Remedies essentially floods ones being with these positive qualities, transforming all energies, which limit or restrict one’s true self from being fully expressed.

However, as one emotion is resolved, another emotion almost always lies underneath, waiting to emerge and be treated. As with many natural approaches to healing, working with the Bach flower remedies is like peeling away the layers of an onion. When this happens, it is time to address the underlying emotion with a new formula.

A Bach Flower Remedy Consultation is done through an interview and detailed questionnaire.  This helps the practitioner to determine core issues and treatment remedies.  It is a collaborative process; the role of the practitioner is to support you in learning about yourself and determining remedies that can support your process of change.

A personalized Bach flower formula contains up to seven flower essences.

As you are gradually restored to emotional balance, these flower essences need to be changed after a period of about four weeks.

Initial sessions are usually 60-90 minutes in length.

Follow up sessions will discuss the change of physical & emotional symptoms since the initial or previous consultation, which will make the redefining of the remedy necessary.

Follow up sessions are usually 30 minutes in length.

Consultation includes:

The external (skin zone) treatment (if indicated); the ingestion of Bach Flowers (undiluted) (if indicated) as well as all remedies for home treatment.

Remedies for home treatment:

Salves for skin treatment

Drops (diluted) for ingestion

Drops (undiluted) for ingestion and/or compresses

The Bach Flower Remedies are a powerful catalyst for healing and change.  In addition to supporting change and transition, they have been beneficial in relieving chronic pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue and grief.  Whether you are already in a period of transition or wish to create changes but are feeling stuck, the Bach Flowers can support your movement into new ways of being.  Although determined by the emotions, the remedies support transformation and growth on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

*The remedies work vibrationally rather than medicinally and as such are gentle and effective and can do no harm. They are safe for pregnant women, children, animals and plants and are not part of any established “standards of care” or “scope of practice”.
